Celebrating 2 years in Change.

An Interview with the Founders of Simplify Change.

“We want to start building a future where people feel empowered.

A future where people can make a difference for their colleagues.”

In 2019, Nicola Graham and Zayn Blore founded Simplify Change, a Business Change Management company focused on helping and supporting Project Teams to realise structured approaches to implementing change.

With a founding mission to hold 'people' at the forefront of their focus and ambitions, the dynamic and savvy founders sought to utilise their experience and expertise within the change management discipline to tap into the I.T industry. Developing and delivering products and services that continually Build, Excite and Equip businesses and people for success, their business has helped project teams and workforces to solve their project-related problems and adapt successfully.

Celebrating the company’s 2nd year in business change management the forward-thinking and inspiring duo takes some time off from empowering teams to reflect on celebrating 2 prosperous years, building a future for people and businesses where change makes a difference.

Simplify change is delightfully celebrating its 2nd year in Business Change Management, as the founders you both started with a mission that centers around people. What has been your proudest moment to date in fulling your mission?

“There have been quite a few incredible moments (That’s why we’re still here). To name one it would have to be Anna and Travisha joining our team, as that was a pivotal moment, which has transformed our company for the better. Working with them to help our clients together has been an incredible experienceMy proudest moment to date is seeing how much we have evolved and changed as a company that started with an idea, and that idea has naturally nudged its way along to be in the place that we wanted it to be.”

“We started this whole thing with an idea of a virtual change management idea so that we were providing project teams with support and help. It stopped; we went around the houses to get there. But we are at a place now where all the stars have aligned, and we are truly keeping to what we initially started with as a company.”

Simplify Change continues to grow its thriving team, what do you celebrate most about your team and what they bring to Simplify Change?

“I love seeing the different mix of personalities and skills working together and growing together to create our company. Everyone has something unique to add and to teach others. I’ve certainly learned from everyone on the team and look forward to continuing this journey with everyone and learning from this amazing group of people.”

“One of the things I like about the team is seeing how much they have evolved through this time and how dedicated they are. The team stands behind our brand and what we are trying to achieve. And to see them develop and be as passionate as that – is very moving.”

The Covid 19 Pandemic saw many companies forced into change, and Change Management is a business discipline that has proven successful during the pandemic. How do you see Simplify Change helping organisations, to break past disinterest, adapt to the new normal, and think of changes to be made in the current people, processes, and IT dimensions as healthy and resilient post-Covid 19?

“People and companies now recognise a need for ongoing change much more readily than before. While companies have changed quickly, the need to change well and embed good business change management practices as part of a company's fabric is key to success in the post-Covid era. Having tools and practices easily available to everyone in a company is key to this which is where we come in.”

“Interestingly, the pandemic has opened people’s perception to change and understand the differences and stages people go through when faced with a change in processes, products, or life. So, the pandemic has been a really good example of how important it is to recognise the behavioral change people go through and how it impacts and affects them in every way. So, in essence, what that means is that it has allowed us to expose the need for good change practices and how enormously important they are for the evolving world.”

Simplify Change has enjoyed working with some quite reputable clients in it is 2 years. What has been the most rewarding aspect or enriching experience of simplifying Change for your clients?

“To me, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed helping clients in this exceedingly difficult time to take advantage of the situation and make long-lasting change. At the international, national, or personal level helping companies and people solve their problems and adapt successfully is why we do what we do.”

“One of the best things about the clients we worked with is how diverse they have been in size, location, and industry, and what that’s given us is the ability to look at, is the fact that no matter what kind of organisation you are dealing with, everybody has the same challenges, and that is - helping our colleagues with behavioral changes. All in all, it is very insightful and eye-opening to recognise that these clients, these companies, no matter how big they are they all need us, and that makes our company feel even more valuable.”

How will you and your team be celebrating the 2nd Anniversary?

“We’ve got an awesome team day planned with the whole team, ending on a great rooftop venue to celebrate our successes together!”

“With a lot of fun! We have a fully involved day organized where we are going to be doing a lot of team activities together and keeping by our core principles and values as a company, which is people come first. So, the day will be celebrated with the people that matter most which are our team. And ensuring that they all have a wonderful take-home for the day.”

What can Simplify Change look forward to in the coming year 2022?

“I’m looking forward to some of our ideas we’ve been working on for two years as a team coming to fruition, making change a success, while at the same time hatching new ideas which you’ll see in 2023!”

“2022, the next year for Simplify Change, is going to be an exciting time. Because we have had so many great ideas and opportunities that are bubbling and will be coming to fruition in 2022. And we are going to continue to see all the fantastic things that what we have started at Simplify Change really help people.”

Both Nicola and Zyan exude fresh and authentic energy that is has proven key when working with people, further strengthening the sentiment to their ethos ‘People should and always will come first.’ Learning throughout their journey and during a Global Pandemic, that the people you surround yourself with are the most important to success and fun. Not places, possessions, or anything else. People.

Change is a constant in everyone’s life. Like Death & Taxes. People change through life, as do their situations, likes, and dislikes. As do companies and what they are good at, which is why Simplify Change was created to help people change successfully.

Working with a team who support each other, come up with new ideas and have fun making it all happen together was completely the right decision for the founders of this enterprising company, 2 exciting years ago when they leaped into this fascinating and ever-growing industry and began to bring about change.

Bring on the next 2 years and many more!
